Eligible candidates are invited to apply online for these positions in Government and Provincialized Secondary Schools, on behalf of the Inspector of Schools in respective districts. Other Criteria :
- TET Recruitment Test:
Candidates must appear for and pass the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) and Recruitment Test, which will be notified in due course. - Medium of Instruction Requirements:
Candidates must meet the following criteria based on the medium of instruction for the respective schools:- Assamese Medium Schools:
- Must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Assamese Language as one of the subjects,
- or have a Diploma in Assamese Language issued by the Axom Sahitya Sabha,
- or have studied up to HSLC level in Assamese Medium Schools.
- Bengali Medium Schools:
- Must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Bengali Language as one of the subjects,
- or have a Diploma in Bengali Language issued by the Barak Upatyaka Bangya Sahitya Sanskriti Sammetan,
- or have studied up to HSLC level in Bengali Medium Schools.
- Hindi Medium Schools:
- Must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Hindi Language as one of the subjects,
- or have studied up to HSLC level in Hindi Medium Schools.
- Bodo Medium Schools:
- Must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Bodo Language as one of the subjects,
- or have studied up to HSLC level in Bodo Medium Schools.
- English Medium Schools:
- Must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Alternative English as one of the subjects,
- or have studied from Class XI onwards in English Medium Schools.
- Assamese Medium Schools:
Note: For the recruitment of teachers for teaching Modern Indian Languages (MIL), candidates who passed the HSLC Examination with a particular MIL subject will be considered.
Required Documents for Application
Candidates must upload the following documents when submitting the online application for the PGT Teacher Recruitment in Assam. It is recommended to prepare these documents in a scanned PDF format before starting the application process, as other formats will not be accepted by the portal:
- Recent Passport Size Photograph
- Signature of the Applicant
- Age Proof: Birth Certificate or HSLC Admit Card
- All Educational Certificates and Marksheets
- Higher Secondary TET Certificate and Marksheet
- B.Ed./Parangat Certificate and Marksheets
- Caste Certificate: Required for SC/ST (P)/ST (H)/OBC/MOBC candidates
- Disability Certificate: For candidates with disabilities, issued by a government authority
- NCC Certificate: Only B or C Category
- Sports & Cultural Certificate: If represented the state at the national level
- Ex-Servicemen Certificate: Issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board
