The eligibility criteria for the Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2.0 are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Residentship: Applicants must be permanent residents of Assam.
  2. Age Limit: Applicants should be between 28 and 45 years old as of 1st April 2024.
  3. Educational Qualification:
    • Minimum qualification of Class 10 pass.
    • Candidates from OBC, SC, and ST communities must have completed at least up to Class10.
  4. Skill Qualification: Applicants should have the skills and knowledge required for income-generating activities, such as those gained from ITI or Diploma programs.
  5. Bank Account: Applicants must have a bank account opened before 1st April 2024.
  6. Loan Defaults: Applicants should have no history of loan defaults with Cooperative or Nationalized Banks.
  7. Government Service: Applicants should not belong to families with government employees or pensioners.
  8. Income: Only Below Poverty Line (BPL) candidates are eligible.
  9. Family Limitation: Only one member per family is eligible.
  10. Employment Exchange Registration: Applicants must have a valid Employment Exchange registration.

These criteria ensure that the scheme reaches the intended beneficiaries—youth from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in Assam, fostering self-reliance and economic stability.
