Mission Bhumiputra Online Caste Certificate Application:

Mission Bhumiputra is an another path breaking initiative of Government of Assam to carry forward the government’s mission of easy public service to the common people. Mission Bhumiputra has been launched by Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on 01.08.2022. This mission has been launched under the Department of Welfare of Plain Tribes and Backward Classes. Under this initiative, government will issue caste certificates to students through digital means and the manual system of issuing caste certificates stopped. Under this mission, applicants will be able to submit their applications for caste certificate through the web portal. This is a great initiative by the government to reduce the hassle of getting caste certificates in Assam. Under this mission, applicant can submit applications for Scheduled Caste Certificate, Scheduled Tribe (Hills) Certificate, Scheduled Tribe (Plains) Certificate and OBC/MOBC Certificate.

 Mission Name : Mission Bhumiputra

Application For: Under this mission, eligible applicants can submit their application for the following caste certificates.

  • Scheduled Caste Certificate SC
  • Scheduled Tribe (Hills) Certificate STH
  • Scheduled Tribe (Plains) Certificate STP
  • OBC/MOBC Certificate.

Name of Department: Department of Welfare of Plain Tribes and Backward Classes.

Name of Organization: Government of Assam

Date of Launch: 01.08.2022

Venue of Launch: Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Guwahati

Application Fee: To complete the application process, applicants have to pay Rs.30/-.

Delivery of Certificate: Within 30 days of application.

Eligibility Criteria of Mission Bhumiputra

Nationality: Applicants must be an Indian citizen.

Domicile: Applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.

Caste: Applicants must belong to SC, ST or OBC/ MOBC.

Required Documents to Upload

Applicants will have to make ready the following documents or file before proceeding for the application process of caste certificate because these documents will need to uploaded on the portal to complete the online application process.

1. Applicant’s Photo
2. Proof of Date of Birth (One of Birth Certificate/ Aadhaar Card/ PAN/ Admit Card issued by any recognized Board of Applicant
3. Proof of Residence(One of Permanent Resident Certificate/ Aadhaar Card/ EPIC/ Land Document/ Electricity Bill/ Ration Card of Applicant or Parent)
4. Caste Certificate of Father OR Recommendation of authorize caste/ tribe/ community organization notified by State Govt.
5. Any other document (Voter List, Affidavit, Existing Caste Certificate, etc.)
6. Upload Scanned Copy of the Application Form.

How to Apply for Caste Certificate ?

Applicants who come under the above mentioned caste and willing to submit their caste certificate application. A permanent resident of Assam will be able to submit his/her application for the caste certificate of Assam.
