Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) Class 9th Admission Form 2025-26, Apply Online (Registration Last Date: 30.10.2024)

1. Residence Requirement:
   • Candidates must be bonafide residents of the district where they wish to apply.
   • They should also be residents of the same district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) is located.
2. Educational Requirement:
   • Candidates must be studying in Class VIII during the academic session 2024-25 in one of the Government or Government-recognized schools of the district where the JNV is functioning and where they seek admission.
3. District Requirement:
   • The district of residence and the district of study in Class VIII must be the same for candidates who wish to apply for admission to Class IX (session 2025-26) in the JNV located in that district.

These criteria ensure that only eligible students from the specific district where the JNV is located can apply for Class 9 admission.

• Date of Birth Requirement: Candidates must be born between 01.05.2010 and 31.07.2012 (both dates inclusive).

Test Structure

• Subjects: The test will include questions from the following subjects:
  • English
  • Hindi
  • Mathematics
  • General Science
• Difficulty Level: The questions will be of Class VIII level.

Important Details

• The test will be of objective type with a total duration of 2½ hours and will be conducted without any break.
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates need to score minimum qualifying marks as per NVS criteria in all four subjects.
• The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in three subjects: Mathematics + Science + one of the two languages (English or Hindi) in which the candidate has scored higher.

Examination Centre

• The examination will be conducted at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of the concerned district or any other centre allotted by NVS.

Medium of Examination

• The medium of the test will be in English/Hindi, and it cannot be changed after filling up the form.

Answer Format

• Students must answer the test using an OMR sheet.
