Educational Qualification for Assam SLET 2025

To be eligible for the State Eligibility Test (SET) 2025, candidates must fulfill the following criteria based on their educational qualifications:

1. Minimum Marks Required:

• General/Unreserved/General-EWS:
  Must have obtained at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in a Master’s degree or equivalent examination from a UGC-recognized university/institute.
• SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD:
  Must have obtained at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in a Master’s degree or equivalent examination from a UGC-recognized university/institute.

2. Candidates Appearing in Final Year:

• Candidates who have appeared or will appear in the final qualifying Master’s Degree (Final Year) examination and whose results are awaited or whose qualifying examination has been delayed are also eligible to apply.

Note: Such candidates must complete their Master’s degree with the required percentage of marks within the stipulated timeframe as specified by the SLET Commission to remain eligible.

Assam SLET 2025 Exam Overview

Here are the key details regarding the State Eligibility Test (SET) 2025:

Notes:

1. Purpose of the Exam: Candidates who qualify for the SET 2025 will be eligible to apply for the position of Assistant Professors within the jurisdiction of the Member-States of the SLET Commission.
2. Pass Certificate Validity: The pass certificate issued to successful candidates will remain valid forever.

Date and Time of Assam SLET 2025 Exam

The State Eligibility Test (SET), 2025 will be held on 23rd March 2025 (Sunday) in two sessions for both papers. Candidates are required to attend both sessions.

Details of Each Paper:

1. Paper-I:
   • Focus: General subject to assess teaching/research aptitude.
   • Skills Tested: Reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness.
2. Paper-II:
   • Focus: Subject-specific, with 100 objective-type questions.
   • Marking: Each question carries 2 marks.

Special Provisions for PWD and Visually Impaired Candidates:

• Paper-I: Additional 20 minutes of compensatory time.
• Paper-II: Additional 40 minutes of compensatory time.

Assam SLET 2025 Exam Centres
